TERMS OF SERVICE
SolarShield Mobile Tinting • Client Agreement
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, requesting an estimate, or using the website or mobile tinting services provided by SolarShield Mobile Tinting ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or website.
2. Mobile Installation & Site Requirements
We are a 100% mobile service dispatched throughout Hernando, Pasco, and Citrus Counties. To ensure flawless film adhesion and minimize airborne dust or debris:
- Customer must provide a safe, legal parking location (private driveway, garage, carport, or authorized workplace parking spot).
- Adverse Florida weather conditions (e.g., thunderstorms, gale-force winds, or heavy tropical downpours) may require rescheduling to preserve installation quality.
- Vehicle glass must be accessible with all doors capable of opening fully.
3. Estimates, Pricing & Payment
All online and telephone estimates are preliminary based on vehicle year, make, model, or square footage provided by the customer. Final pricing may be adjusted if the vehicle has existing aftermarket tint that requires removal, abnormal glass contamination, or customized coverage requests. Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the service.
4. Window Film Curing & Care Instructions
Following installation, automotive tint requires an initial drying and curing period:
- Do NOT roll down windows for a minimum of 3 to 5 days (allowing moisture to fully evaporate).
- Minor haziness, water pockets, or small moisture bubbles are a natural part of the curing process and will dissipate in the Florida sun within 1 to 3 weeks.
- Clean tinted windows only with soft microfiber towels and ammonia-free cleaners. Never use abrasive scrubbers or ammonia-based sprays (like traditional Windex).
5. Lifetime Warranty Terms
Our premium nano-ceramic window films are backed by manufacturer lifetime warranties against bubbling, peeling, cracking, delaminating, and color change (purpling) under normal use. Warranty does not cover physical damage, scratches caused by seatbelt buckles or rings, pet claws, glass breakage, improper cleaning chemicals, or post-installation tampering.
6. Limitation of Liability
SolarShield Mobile Tinting carries general liability insurance. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle defects, scratched glass hidden beneath old tint, brittle electrical clips, or pre-existing interior upholstery wear. Under no circumstances will our total liability exceed the total fee paid for the specific service rendered.
WEBSITE & LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Florida Tint Statutes • Informational Notice
Florida Window Tint Law Compliance
Window tint laws vary by state and vehicle classification. Under Florida Statutes §§ 316.2951 – 316.2956:
- Sedans / Passenger Cars: Front side windows must allow at least 28% Visible Light Transmission (VLT). Rear side and rear window must allow at least 15% VLT.
- SUVs, Trucks & Vans: Front side windows must allow at least 28% VLT. Rear side and back window may be tinted to 6% VLT (privacy glass).
- Windshield: Non-reflective tint allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line (visor strip). Clear ceramic heat rejection film across the full windshield is subject to state medical exemption rules and legal guidelines.
*Customer acknowledges that selecting tint darkness levels below statutory limits is done at customer's own discretion and responsibility. SolarShield Mobile Tinting strongly recommends and installs Florida-legal shades.
